Ooooh yeah, it’s official. I’m going to Costa Rica!
Well, it’s always been semi-official. But I had to talk to my parents about it first. See, if you don’t know already, I work with my parents. Actually, they have two businesses and I’m an integral part of both (product manager & web designer/SEO lady). So I needed to be sure that the businesses would be okay without me. They’re also notoriously protective and a bit strict with me. So I’ve really put off telling them about my plans for fear that they would be upset and/or angry and/or ready-to-disown me.
They weren’t. In fact, they were amazing about it. I went over on Saturday night and we talked and it was wonderful. They said that even though SML was a good place to recuperate from my divorce (recuperate?? I think they meant celebrate!
), it’s time for me to spread my wings and fly. They are supportive and, of course, a little concerned about my safety. But I told them that CR is the safest place for me… so many friends to take care of me! (Thanks, guys, I love you!
)
So it’s official. I’m leaving in November. Well, semi-official. If things don’t go really well for one of the companies, then I’m leaving after cousin Steph’s wedding in September (I seriously can’t believe “little Steph” is getting married!
). But let’s just say that things are going to go well for the business and so, therefore, I will be in CR in November. Thursday, November 9th, to be precise.
So, yes, the countdown timer is now OFFICIAL. And I’m very, very, VERY happy about this! Now I need to start selling all my crap that I’ve accumulated over the years. Who wants it??

Congratulations!
I am waiting for you
Congrats on finally setting a date!
