Okay, yes, I am a MySpace addict. It does not matter that it is poorly designed; I don’t care that it’s clique-ish; It honestly doesn’t matter that there are 12-year-olds masquerading as slutty 20-year-olds. I like MySpace. It has let me keep in contact with old friends… friends that I had long since lost contact with. It’s allowed me to keep up with new friends, too. I like the bulletin system. It can be stupid, but if you don’t want to read the surveys, you don’t have to. But when I’m bored, or even just vaguely interested, I love reading people surveys about themselves. Who knows when I’m going to need to know when your heart was last broken, the last song you listened to, or your biggest pet peeve.

So anyway, MySpace–for all its flaws–is fun for me. And so I just wanted to pass along this little piece of info: MySpace Careers is launching tonite. It’s like a Monster.com for the young person. It has internships, summer jobs, outdoor jobs (hooray!!!!), and more. I doubt it will have anything outside the U.S. (boo), but it’s still a great tool. MySpace Careers is a partnership between MySpace and Simply Hired; together, they should be a helluva team.
