You're right about ticos being bonkers for movies. After 2 failed attempts to see movies we gave up on the concept of "just rocking up and getting tickets", now one of us goes down a couple hours early and buys tickets in advance. I have been here for just over two weeks and I think my face hurts from smiling so much. I love it! I liked what you said about San Jose. I have just come back from a three day trip in the mountains with the schoolkids I teach and the bus journey was mad but exhilarating. I'm in Rohrmoser and it was great to get up and see the central valley for real. Heading to Cahuita this weekend, decision to move to Costa Rica- BEST EVER! Y han sido siete meses! @Ben: There's a theater in San Pedro that we like to go to; it's not at all luxurious, but it only costs c1500, the snacks are cheap, and there are hardly any lines. You only have to get there about 30 minutes before the movie to be first in line. Love it! @Rachel: That's fantastic!
